Chronogram editor Phillip Levine wrote me my love letter and told me my poem is a "good, charming piece."
Yes, I'm quite happy. This makes me 5 for 5 in terms of my goal - one for every month of this year so far.
Smooches to Phil Levine!
a big fat chronicling by anjie
Rogue - The name of the farming and timber-producing region in southwestern Oregon. Its mild climate and relative isolation have made the valley a popular destination. The Rogue Valley's community of Ashland is famous for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.
rogue [rohg] n. a playfully mischievous person; a scamp
No one likes a fellow who is all rogue, but we'll forgive him almost anything if there is warmth of human sympathy underneath his rogueries...

Congratulations Anjie! You're almost halfway to your goal. woohoo!
Wow, Anjie, how sweet it was to turn to pages 60/61 in Chronogram and there was "Romancing the Poem". What an exhausting love affair paper and pencil experienced. Extremely well written and good and charming as the editor commented. 4 for 4 - that's impressive. Go, girl, go!
Lovingly,
JJJ
The way you write I can't even remotely imagine your novel to not be a huge success. Keep on keeping on.
OOPS! May does happen to be the 5th month. Hmmmh? How'd that happen? My genius mind had a tad of a glitch. How's congrats on 5 for 5?
