Gramps died at 2 a.m. Wednesday morning. His service is Saturday in Yakima; I'll stay at Soapstone but I'll be thinking of him and the rest of his/our family in Washington, California, and, of course, Texas. Peace.

Wow, a lot has happened since I last checked out your blog. I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your Grandpa. He sounds like he was an amazing man. I agree, I think your Grandma did the right thing--out of love and respect for him.
Know that you're in our thoughts at this time. Hope you're doing well at Soapstone! We miss you guys.
